The Visit

 Oh my!   What would Mary sing to me as she walked into my door? into my premises?

She left - quickly, in haste we read.   Completely, unselfish in an ultra generous spirit.   Do I walk in that Spirit as I leave my door?  on my daily journeys?  I am more concerned about me, my my my....

Let's back up.

Rejoice and be glad daughter Zion, shout for joy, sing joyfully, exult with all your heart...He has turned away your enemies...[there is] no further misfortune to fear...Zep 3:14 -16

Now, that is something to put a skip in your step!

...He will rejoice over me with gladness....Zep 3:17

Lord, that you may rejoice in me!   Renew me in this spirit...in this particular grace of joy...

For she was overshadowed with the Holy Spirit and carrying the Lord IN HER womb.

Lord, over shadow me with that same Holy Spirit, cover me drown me in it!   Remind me that I carry the Lord in me as well, especially when I receive You in the Eucharist and when I commune with You throughout my day...increase in me this desire and this loving awareness.

I am confident and unafraid...my strength and my courage IS in the LORD.  Is 12:2 (today's R ps)

May my soul proclaim the greatness of the Lord!
