Divine Directions
He sent two of his disciples and said to them,
"Go into the city and a man will meet you,
carrying a jar of water.
Follow him.
Wherever he enters, say to the master of the house,
'The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room
where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"'
Then he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready.
Make the preparations for us there."
The disciples then went off, entered the city,
and found it just as he had told them;...Mark 14: 12 - 16
Divine Directions...important...important to the new covenant and the Eucharist that the Lord is about to give. I love the Eucharist and its teaching; body, blood, soul & divinity - the whole. I love the liturgy and its transcendence - the opportunity to worship. Adoration is also key to our spiritual health.
I do not want to reduce today's Gospel, but I am merely struck from something.
Today, I am taken by the instruction the Lord gives to two of the disciples he has chosen to carry out this plan. How did He know about the jar being carried by the man? Was this man waiting for the two? Water is significant in our Faith. Sometimes [most of the time] we don't need to know the details the - what's next or the what is the out come, we just need to listen and do what we are asked. we are the insignificant one. we are the ones to pay attention to His holy orders.
